This weekend has been quite dull so far. Everyone's going home...leaving only me and Claire here in Austin. I'm glad we had each other though. Had a family dinner thingy last night. Quite fun. Pictionary was fun. GO NEWBIES! haha. We'll kick ass next time too! So UT lost to OU. BOOOOOOOOO. We didn't even score anything. I miss taking baths. I haven't been eating as much...this is bad. Very bad. I really need to get into a dance class or something...or workout....blahhhh....then maybe i'll eat more. Anyhooo....time to treat my lonely self to a movie. yay! Have a great rest-of-the-weekend folks!

Rain is grossssssss. It's getting cold outside...no more tank tops...or flip flops...or skirts or shorts! Time for the sweaters and jeans and jackets and close-toed shoes....woo hoo! Going home was fun. I didn't get to hang out with friends or watever. But I ate a lot. We had Korean food...Chinese food...DIM SUM! and mom's eggrolls...MMMmMmm. Good times. School is getting quite boring. In chemistry, I like never pay attention to Dr. Davis. I usually stare at the people that do sign language for this girl...maybe i'll learn how to sign. I know how to say "element" "hydrogen" "water" and "oxygen" Pretty nifty. I've been listening to the Backstreet Boys. Yes, thye're old...but some of their songs are actually sweet. Awwww. Anyways, time for some food. Peace out kids!

Time for an update! This week has been uberfun. Lots of new experiences and meeting new people. Awesome times! Yay we're celebrating Kenneth's birthday today! Woo hoo! I seriously have 3 tests this week. I really hope I don't bomb them. *crosses fingers* But after this week, it'll be easy sailing, I hope. The game yesterday was awesome, we won. Yay. Again, it got boring because we already knew like halfway through the first quarter that we'd kick Rice's ass. We ate at Double Dave's, pizza is incredibly awesome! Then we took crazy pictures at the tower. Fun times. Then back to Van's to watch Barbershop. I was incredibly sleepy, and so was Kathy so we left before the movie ended. Wellllllll....time for a shower! Good day!

It's so hard to write about what I've done because everyday in Austin seems to mush together and I can't seem to remember all the details of the day It has definitely been super fun here. Hanging out with Claire,Kathy, Paul, and his friends and "F"s written on our hands was defintiely a first, right Claire? Jamba Juice is so awesome. One smoothie with an energy boost and I'm ready to conquer! Last night, me Van Kathy Claire and Jason went to Kevin's apartment. He's such a great host! Claire and I played racing games...we're not so good. Then Kevin made shrimp Pat Thai...MMmMmmM...excellent...and then he made Mexican shrimp cocktail...MMMmmmMM...and he made FRIED ICE CREAM! HOLY MOLY! It was soooooooo gooooooooooooooood! There are definitely boring times here at Austin but I'm glad that we manage to have fun anyway. Good times.

"hellloooooo" ~ Zoolander. AHAHAHAHAHHAHA! Prolly only Claire will understand how incredibly funny that is. We went to our first frat party after the game (where we totally raped UNT. There weren't very many ppl there, but the house was nice. Kinda girly looking, but nice. We ended up not staying long, but it was fun playing foozeball and such. Claire and I beat Kenneth, WOOOOOO! Drinking games are funny... and no, I didn't participate. Kathy is coming back today! She's gonna have my debit card and check book! Yessssssss. And I'm glad she'll be back...it's not fun being alone in the dorm...I want to thank Claire and Kenneth for keeping me company. We studied for a really long time yesterday. I felt incredibly productive and on a roll. Welp, time for food. Ciao!

yay, finally some free time. I don't have any classes today. woohoooo! Soooo.... I guess i'll talk about my Cali trip. It was fun. Chinatown is extrememly crowded. My mom is an excellent haggler. The food is GREAT! Las Vegas was very pretty. All ppl is sleep during the day and gamble at night. The Grand Canyon is a huge hole. I got dizzy when I kinda stood at the edge. It makes you feel like your gonna fall off. The London Bridge was pointless because the snow cone stand was closed. It was hot. So that was Cali. WOOOOOOO!

Austin is excellent. I'm enjoying the freedom to do pretty much watever the hell I want. The walking takes a bit of getting used to, but it's all gravy. The classes seem easy and I'm beginning to meet some really cool ppl. Rooming with Kathy is mucho fun. Lots of good talks and such. Our dorm room is huge. Well...I miss everyone that's notin UT with me and I hope you guys are having a stellar time in college too! Drop me a note! byebye!

addicted to shopping, also a sports update

I really need to stop shopping. I spend money like crazy. I'm gonna end up being one of those poor college students. oy. Anyways, so I went shopping with a whole mess of people yesterday. Got tons of stuff. Then today, there was an S4B3 gathering where we watched Badder Santa and ate quesadillas. Also played Telephone...we all felt like we were in middle school again. Fun times. I am sad, though, that I'm not taking advantage of tax-free weekend. But then again, I won't really be around for it. Bummer.

Is 80s music IN or what?! I have enjoyed sharing great music with buddy Van, to whom I promised the Incubus cd. People, don't judge the 80s by it's surface (the horrendous clothing and bad hair-dos). Look inside and you'll find a plethera of great music and classic teen movies.

Some sports talk... Quincy Carter doesn't show up at Cowboy's training camp in Cali...he got cut off the team. OOooO. That is all.

I am so proud that I have finally spread the wisdom of Hello Kitty to ... Trenton Roberts. A surprisingly, yet awesome success story. Go Trent!

One more day till Cali...but not before having to go to a wedding...wow. BYEBYE!

BURGERS , yesss

WOOOOO! Red Robin was excellent! Kinda expensive but definitely worth it. Endless steak fries! Who could ask for more?! The turn-out was excellent. It was Freshmen college-goers VS. Sophmores....plus Jason Silapachai. He's HELLA funny! Doesn't look like Komson at all. I must rethink who's funnier...

Well I got my laptop...it's a fun toy. There's nothing much to do on it right now...meh. But I got a free color printer with it! It's exciting. All for 800 bucks (after rebates of course. 400 bucks worth of rebates). I just noticed it's just big enough to whack someone in the head with, heh.

Last night was incredibly boring. Went with my parents to their friends' house for a pre-wedding get-together thing. It was basically my mom talking the whole time. I've never met anyone that talks that much. EVER. yappity yappity yappity .

I'm going shopping today! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

gooooooooooooodies

Life is good. So is food. Went to Microcenter today to see if they had "my" laptop. They were out. So I need to call them soon and if they have more of them sent in then I need to put one on hold. Seems like everything is finally falling into place college-wise. I had been so stressed out the past few weeks worrying about all these different things. What's funny is the fact that I won't be able to see my parents everyday hasn't totally hit me yet. But I know that i'm gonna worry about them and how they're doing and everything. I was watching Dr. 90210 on the Style channel and there was this lady that weighed like 220lbs and lost like over 50 pounds. She went to get a boob augmentation. She went from a D to DD. It's crazy. They look horrifying. She's gonna have some back problems in the future. And like she's like all this access skin hanging around her tummy area. blaaaaaaaaaaagh. On a less gross note, I'm finding myself playing the piano more often now than when I had lessons. The tables have defintitely turned. I guess when I had lessons, my dad kinda made me practice, whereas now, since no one's pushing me, I'm more inclined to doing it...? It's weird. Yesterday, I read an article about this girl who went to jail because of her involvement in her boyfriends plot to sell one kilo of cocaine to get like 35,000 bucks. She's been in jail for like 3 years, and in the article, she said that she still loves him even though he completely screwed her over (her involvement in the scheme was merely riding with her bf to the location). I don't understand how she can be like "oh i still love him..." But i guess I wouldn't understand. Well, I'm really hungry. bye!

bored!

I stole this from Kathy:

A - Age - 18...although ppl say I don't look 18. Kathy says I look 16. Which is fine with me. Hopefully I will age well and when i'm 70...i'll look 30.

B - Boyfriend - for the record...none. It's ok. I'll use my supposed "doe eyes" to pick up guys at UT. No worries.
C - Crush- eh, I give up on those for the time being. Nothing ever works out.
D - Dad's name - Tom. Him and my mom and actually went through this whole process to get their Viet names changed to American names...hm.

E - Essential make up item - Either lip gloss or mascara. eh.
F - Favorite sock puppet. Was never a fan of those.
G - Guys or gals- guys guys guys guys guys guys guys
H - Hometown - Garland...a butthole town with nothing to do. no...i'm not bitter.
I - Icky smell- BO. That's so gross.
J - Job title - College student. HA.
K - Kids - I've learned to like them more. But there are a few that I would still like to spank.
L - Last person to contact you via phone- My mother.
M - Mom's name - Peggy.
N - Number of people you've slept with - 192845. plus a few more. you know how it goes.
O - Overnight hospital stays - none.
P - Phobia - getting hit by cars.
Q - Quote you like – "you have to be a special type of stupid to forget to eat" like those ppl that are like "OMG i have to study" and their like starving themselves in the process. Who's the smarty now?!
R - Rumor you started- i don't think i've started many. not proud about it, but i've prolly spread a few. not lately tho... heh heh.
S - Siblings - 1 bro. A spoiled, sometimes bratty, yet brilliant architect who thinks he's hot and is a computer genius.
T - True or False- Trieu...because she's my roomie.
U - Unique habit - when i sleep with a stuffed animal, i wrap the tag around my finger. been doing that since i was a wee little one. i have a stuffed raccoon and i once wore off its tag and my mom had to cut the tag off of my less popular big bird and sew it on to the raccoon so i'd have a tag to sleep with.
V - Vegetable you refuse to eat - lima beans are gross. carrots are good raw, but not cooked.
W - Worst habit - i've stopped biting my nails. i guess i bite my lip sometimes.
X - X-rays you've had - a plethera of dental ones
Y - Yummy food you make - ramen noodles, spaghetti, salad, easy stuff like that.
Z - Zodiac Sign - Sagittarius.

Wow, it's been a while. I'm soooooooooo ready to get to Austin. WOOOO! Yesterday, we saw Napoleon Dynamite again. Still incredibly good. The crew included Aivy, Claire, Kathy, Van, Hubert, Daniel, Megan. It was so good to see everyone. We went back to Aivy's and she made quesadiLLas. MmMmMM. Later we watched the 1st season of A Simple Life. Nicole Richie is a freak. So is Paris. I'm so bored. I wish my bro woud stop thinking he's a computer genius. He just ends up messing up stuff even more. NINE more days till Cali! I found out we're gonna go to the Grand Canyon. woo. I need a nap, like seriously....hm. I watched the Wizard of Oz today. What a great flick. I wonder where they got all those munchkins. Anyways...i'm off.

Olive Garden yesteday was swell. YUMMMMMMMMMMMY desserts. AND a Serbian waiter. Many congrats to momma cookie for guessing Yugoslavia. haha. Polka dotted puppies at Victoria's Secret! I needa get something from the Pink collection to get a puppy, they're so cute! The best part of yesterday was the Vote for Pedro shirts. CHYEAH! Went shopping with mother later on. Got a pink sweater, another shirt, undies, and a bathrobe (15 bucks!). Ate at Saigon Kitchen. Good food. But it was freakin freezing in there. Came home and watched Dr. 90210 with my mom. What a great show. Then....got online...went to bed...the end! I am doing absolutely nothing today. meh. bye!

Yay! Yesterday was a mucho festive day. I got my cell phone! Super! I went to The Movie Trading Company with my bro and mom, and they had this huge sale where you get 5 DVDs for 20 bucks. Lots of great stuff to pick from. The movies don't have their cases...but who cares?! 4 bucks for a movie! That's cheaper than a movie ticket these days! So we got Shrek! YES! Awesomest movie! I have to go to the doctor today. To get a physical and the meningoccocal shot. oy. Nervous. Welp, gotta go!

Wow, yesterday was incredibly fun fun fun! Me, Claire, and Henry went and saw Napoleon Dynamite, but not before eating at Baja Fresh! I ate a WHOLE BURRITO ULTIMO! I am a beast! I ate it all! Plus chips and guacamole! MMMMMmmMM! The movie was great. I didn't really know what it was about...and it ends up that there really isn't much of a plot, but it's freakin hilarious. I would love to see it again, so if anyone wants to go, HOLLA! Afterwards, we stopped by Sonic to get ocean water. MmMmmmM. So good. Then to Claire's where we watched The Assistant. Andy Dick...weird guy and only somewhat funny. But interesting. Then chocolate-covered strawberries and blueberries. I'm the best sweet blueberry picker ever! Also, I'm in love. With Claire's bird Marco. hehehehhe. Cutest thing in the world. We also watched Iron Chef and were quite disappointed when it wasn't the strawberry challenge. Carrots instead, meh. But what was really awesome was the chef that carved a carrot temple! Oh did i mention we straightened Henry's hair? He looked like an 8th grader. But what a good sport. So that was fun. Today, went to Wallymart with mother. Got myself many snacks including 2 pints of Haagen Daaz ice cream in mango and pineapple-coconut. MmmmMM. My parents are lactose intolarant, so they can't have any. It's a shame. Later we went to Bed Bath and Beyond to get sheets for my dorm. THEY HAVE THEM SO ALL YOU COLLEGE GOERS GET THEM NOW BEFORE THEY RUN OUT! 30 bucks for 2 pillow cases, 1 fitted sheet, and one flat sheet. Got some lavender ones...they're purdy. That place seriously has everything, I mean everything. There's like a special solustion they sell that specializes in taking red wine off of clothing. OOooOO. Anyhoo....that's all! byebye!

Hm....a whole lotta nothing. I saw the cutest movie ever yesterday tho! It's called My Sassy Girl. Nikki said it was really good...and it was super good! Today was another day of shopping. The Part 2 of another Francis and Aivy Fun Day, that is. Went to eat at Fresh Choice. Good food. Healthy food...good. Then to the Galleria, where we got some stuff from Hollister, yadda yadda. Hot cashier at Hollister, for sure. Went around looking for a messenger bag for school and such...not much luck...except this one at Banana Republic that was 68 bucks...I'll ask my mom I guess. Then to Willow Bend, surprisingly, nothing at Forever 21 interested me. Yikes. Got myself some shorts and PacSun. NEver bought anything there before. They were on sale. Buy one get one free. So 2 shorts for 30 bucks...not too shabby. I can't WAIT to go to Cali.....*sigh* Counting down the days for sure! yaaaaay!

Straight hair...FOREVER!

Yay...back from Austin. Too bad the first news I get is that my bunny passed away. I'm so sad. No other bunny can ever replace Corb. He was an awesome companion; it's like he knew I wasn't gonna be able to take care of him anymore (he had died the day I went to Austin for orientation).... On a lighter note, I'm very excited about attending Austin. Lots of good-lookin ppl there. They've got Pluckers...the amazing wing place. And lots of awesome UT gear and shopping. Good scenery. Yes! I am officially going to Cali for vacation on August 8 to the 14th. That means about 4 days after I get back, it's moving day to Austin. Sall good. Today was Karen's Bday party! WOOOOOOO! I must say Hawaiian Falls is a very cute place. I got to go on my first water ride with Elaine. It was quite exhiliarating. I got to float around on the Lazy River to get a tan. AND I got to play in the wave pool. AND I got to eat Dippin Dots. What fun. Then afterwards I spend 4 hours at the salon getting my hair permanently straightened. Most boring thing ever ever ever. I read soooooooo many magazines...even the asians ones, I just looked at the pictures. The procedure was successful. I can't wash my hair for the next three days. That's gross. For the next week, I can't put it up or put it behind my ears. That means I have to wear a shower cap for any aquatic activity I participate in such as washing my face and bathing. Well, I'm off the re-organize the mess in my room. I'm signing off...it's 10:46 and OU still SUCKS! KEKE!

Hey kids! I'm here in Austin. The campus is purdy...lots of walking, and it's really really hot. It's my last day and we're just waiting for the bus ride home. The orientation leaders were awesome. Their skits and such were cool too. I'm really excited and it's weird that I actually feel like starting school now. I can't wait to move down here! The shopping's not bad either, heh. Lots of cute UT gear. Yeah, so HOOK EM! It's 3:22 and OU still sucks! haha! Much love.

laaaaaa. So on Tuesday, I went to my Grandma's again. Did nothing. Watched a bit of Rush Hour 2 with Elaine. Funny. Went to pick up Nikki at some school out in the boonies. YES! She's done!!!!! It was pouring raining, but we went to get Quizno's. I had never eaten there before and I must say that it's my favorite place to munch now. The sandwiches are wicked! I ate a whole regular sized sub...MMMMmMM. Afterwards, we brought Nikki back with us to Garland. As always, we do absolutely nothing. Played Text Twist, lol. We're so much fun, whoever doesn't know us is missing out. We watched a buttload of tv. Then we played Scrabble WHILE watching tv, because Nikki really really really wanted to play it, keke. 50 Most Awesomely Bad Songs... "Inspiration" by Chicago...and Nikki knows the words! *gasp* We had also watched this Chinese movie about these who ppl who were destined to be together and live next to each other but didn't find out til the end of the movie...it was cute...Awww. So in all, it was fun; lots of laughs, Nikki's the bestest! I want to go shopping, someone please go with me. And I'm hungry, so I'm out!
